Wow. Ok so first off when I first tried this on, it was like my body instantly…deeply…calmed down. I don’t know what it was because I’ve tried so many massage items before, but this instantly relaxed me like no other massage products have. So much so that I had to take it off so I wouldn’t fall asleep right then and there! I seriously felt like I’d fall asleep sitting up on the couch at like 3pm. (And I didn’t even have it on the sleep meditations!)Ok, so on to the actual product. The outside is hard plastic and the inside is a very comfy foamy material inside a layer of leather-y material. The rubber band holds strong so there’s no slippage, and to prevent the massagers from pushing it too far off your face so as not to actually feel the massage. It massages two areas one after the other, first, a knob on each side presses down on your temples, the, two knobs above and below each eye gives gentle pressure to the eye area. There are different levels and the voice will tell you what you’re selecting as you choose each option, so no need to take off the mask to check what level you’re on. Personally I prefer the highest heat and deepest pressure settings. The included meditations are extremely helpful. There is a QR code to get 3 free months of Headspace, which is very nice given the usual free trial is much shorter (I forgot how much but I downloaded the app and it was like 7 or 14 days I think). I haven’t tried connecting it to Bluetooth yet but you can also do that and listen to more meditations from the app or even your own music apparently? So cool! The voice is quiet enough that it won’t bother others (they will hear it though) but you can hear it easily.Oh, and I tried it on at night time and accidentally fell asleep with it on. So it DOES put you to sleep. Unfortunately though try not to do this because I woke up with an odd headache (which went away within maybe half an hour, but still.)We love it so much we need to get another one already because my husband and I both want it every night!
This zen eye massager will be great for my flights or when I have sore eyes from too much screen time. There are some warnings that are worth paying attention to. The one that stood out for me was the potential for temporary blurry vision after using. I didn't personally experience that (had heat turned off) but it's worth mentioning. I like how comfortable the mask sits on my face. It can run in silent mode (massager only) or with the audio only or both activated or both off. It does tension release massages and using the massage on the light setting with my earbuds was very nice. There are quite a few audio tracks included. The audio resets if you go to a different track. So if you have it on silent mode and go to the next track you'll need to turn the audio off again. I thought all of the different voices were very soothing and the audio was crisp and clear. Overall it's a well made product that has a nice calming effect.
I often have problems falling asleep, so I thought this RENPHO & Headspace Eye Massager with Heat would help me relax before bed. I wasn’t sure at first how to use it, but I soon figured it out enough to begin. I started by listening to several meditations to relax and hopefully get sleepy… and YAY…it worked!! I felt so wonderfully relaxed and ready to fall asleep… it was amazing. Such a simple thing to do to fix my problems falling asleep… and so much better than more blue light scrolling on my phone… which I know was a huge counterproductive no-no. This was not a healthy way to relax and fall asleep, and I knew it. I just was not aware of this device! In addition, I signed up for a Headspace Plus trial and completed the Day 1 exercises after setting it up. There are many things to try, and I cannot report on them all yet. However, based on my experience so far, I will wholeheartedly endorse this as an effective gadget for relaxation. In time, I will personalize and incorporate calming audio playlists and meditation. I initially fiddled with the head strap to get it to a comfortable size when I first wore the device. I now look forward to experimenting with the heat settings, compression massage modes, and pressure levels of the eye massager. I ultra-loved the targeted massage on my temples… It's heavenly. I also found the silicone tactile button controls easy to use, even while wearing the device. I intend to continue using this device at the end of the day, before bedtime. Having already experienced such stellar relaxation from this RENPHO & Headspace Eye Massager, this device will be invaluable in managing my insomnia.
I’ll be honest—I wanted this because my eyes were fried. Long laptop days, too much phone scrolling at night, and that tension behind the eyes makes it hard to fully relax. I wasn’t expecting a miracle, just something calming and not gimmicky. This eye massager surprised me in a good way. It’s lighter than it looks, comfy on my face, and really blocks out light. Once on, everything is shut off for a bit. The heat is subtle but effective, and the temple massage hits that perfect spot.I like how quiet it is.The guided meditation is a nice bonus too, especially if you’re not big on solo- meditation. It just makes it easier to unwind without effecting.I use it before bed, especially on days when I’m mentally drained but still wired. So definitely not a "need" , but if you spend a lot of time on screens and struggle to switch off, this feels like a worthwhile luxury. But only if you'll use it. Also makes for a solid gift.
This is almost a great item and I will say it's very nice, good for relaxing, unique and feels very nice except for the pressure ON the eyes is a bit too much for me. That's my only real complaint because the whole unit is really comfortable otherwise, easy to put on and take off, VERY nice massage on the sides of the face by the eyes, the outer bone there framing your face get a nice massage. It's just when the unit goes to press IN on your actual eyes, I just find that so uncomfortable. The instructions say that you will have blurry vision after using the unit so keep your eyes closed for a few minutes to let it wear off and I was wondering why it said that and now I know it's because of the direct pressure right on your eyeballs. I'm not sure if that's completely cool or healthy to press on the eyeballs like that. I was more than happy with it just massaging all around the eye areas. Luckily there are multiple modes so you can choose to just have the temple massage and leave out the eyeball one if you find it uncomfortable. The unit is heavily branded with Headspace and you get a free trial to it as well. It comes with nine meditations. The audio is great to have on board like that so I appreciate the integration with Headspace as I'd used them a few years back and found their meditations quite nice. It's a good item and unique as well, I just try to keep it pulled a bit out and away from pressing on my eyes because I just don't like how that feels at all. The unit itself is made of plastic and the inner part is nice and pliable though I won't say "soft" because it's not like soft like a microfiber or fuzz or anything or plush, it's just a softer material that goes against your eyes. The unit is rechargeable and has multiple settings. You can even Bluetooth your own music through it. Quite nice for a little sensory escape. The unit is foldable and easy to store and clean. It has multiple modes of heat as well, to help relax muscles. I like the way it blocks out light so you can really concentrate on the experience. A very unique item! It would make a really nice gift, too.
